Vice President J.D. Vance gave an inspiring message of support to young men during a Q&A session at CPAC on Thursday with host Mercedes Schlapp. The annual conservative gathering is being held at National Harbor, Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C.
Vance’s message was a succinct distillation of the outreach by President Trump and his campaign to young men (and young women) during the closing months of the 2024 election that embraced ‘bro culture’ through appearances on podcasts, Turning Point USA gatherings and campaign rallies at college campuses. A key player in that effort was Trump’s 18-year-old son, Barron.
Vance’s message to young men was, “don’t allow this broken culture to send you a message that you’re a bad person because you’re a man.”
For decades the feminist movement and the Democratic Party have waged a war on boys and young men, calling their natural state of being “toxic masculinity” while trying to feminize them.
President Trump has twice defeated Democrat feminist presidential candidates by being unapologetically masculine. The 40-tear-old Vance, who wears a very manly beard, is a married father of three young children and represents Trump’s return to American normalcy of respecting and appreciating the traditional roles both men and women play in society.
Core excerpt posted by Charlie Kirk:
“My message to young men is don’t allow this broken culture to send you a message that you’re a bad person because you’re a man, because you like to tell a joke, because you like to have a beer with your friends, or because you’re competitive. Our culture “wants to turn everybody, whether male or female, into androgynous idiots who think the same, talk the same, and act the same.” “We actually think God made male and female for a purpose, and we want you guys to thrive as young men, and as young women. And we’re going to help with our public policy to make it possible to do that.”
