President Trump has made protecting girls and women a priority of his administration.
On Wednesday, Trump is set to sign an executive order that will ban biological males from competing in women’s sports to commemorate the 39th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
According to the Women’s Sports Foundation, “National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) began in 1987 as a special day in our nation’s capital to recognize women’s sports. The day united premiere organizations and elite women athletes to bring national attention to the promise of girls and women in sports.“
Now, XX-XY Athletics, which describes itself as “The only athletic brand that stands up for women’s sports,” has released a powerful new ad, ‘Real Girls Rock,’ celebrating the bravery of the girls and women who have received disgusting abuse and attacks for simply trying to keep men out of their spaces and their sports.
The company notes that Nike would never make an ad that celebrates women.
University of Nevada, Reno volleyball player and team captain Sia Liilii features prominently in the ad.
Liilii spoke out during the 2024 season regarding a biological male opponent on San Jose State’s (SJSU) women’s team.
SJSU faced eight-game forfeitures by opposing teams because biological male Blaire Fleming plays for the University’s women’s volleyball team.
A lawsuit was ultimately filed against the Mountain West, alleging that allowing Fleming to play at San Jose State violates Title IX and the players’ First and 14th Amendment rights.
During the season, Liilii shared her experience telling school officials she didn’t want to compete against a transgender player.
Liilii said Saturday that when her teammates approached school officials expressing their desire to forfeit the match, they were lectured about “not understanding science” and asked to reconsider their stance.
“We felt unsafe and dismissed,” Liilii said, sobbing. “We met with our school officials to give them our team’s new statement, but they wouldn’t even hear it. We were told that we weren’t educated enough and that we didn’t understand the science. We were told to reconsider our position.”
For the sin of protecting women and girls, Liilii and other female athletes have been ruthlessly attacked by the wok mob.
